First we go to the top of the farm……..

and the corn is as high as an elephants eye………. this was once the site of a settlement – Anglo Saxon, here also a bread oven was excavated, inside…………. a man’s body……………ancient murder? hiding place from a Viking attack? why was the oven never used again?  work that one out…………………..

The blue tent seen in the background marks the spot where more archaeology is taking place………………….
