Art exhibition day ten

And it’s France again………………………..

There is a quite a nip in the air this morning and a very heavy dew, young pheasants and partridges seem to be everywhere………..they are totally oblivious to the fact that the partridge shoot season is only days away……………………..a word in their ear perhaps……………..

My meadow has been cut, depriving the owl of his (or her) favourite hunting ground…………

Today I’ll be blocking and pressing, and probably knitting. I usually knit in the late afternoons and evenings, to me, it seems a bit decadent  to knit in the mornings, I don’t know why……………………perhaps years of child-rearing has programed me to think of the mornings as ‘domestic’ and the afternoons as a reward for the mornings toil?

Today my northern family arrive……………big smile, deep breath!

More art tomorrow………………….
