Hat parade ………………………..

My sweet grandson, modelling my bluebell hat………….

Sunday, and the  leg of lamb is already in the AGA, B has his tea in bed and is watching Andrew Marr, the sun is shining and I’m about to take the dogs out, in fact, a perfect autumn Sunday morning………………

I write with my back away from my studio, a glance around tells me that maybe it’s not too perfect a day, in fact if I don’t tidy up soon there’s a danger of being buried in an avalanche of yarn, charts, fabric and ‘ready to do’ projects…………….today being the day of rest (ha, ha) I’ll have a bit of a tidy, then cover the 35 buttons I need for an on (and on, and on, and on) going project. That will make me feel good (well a bit better) ……………..

I had my pacemaker check-up yesterday………the pacemaker has a ‘memory’ and when hooked-up to a laptop, tells of every blip and bleep, every ectopic, every fibrillation, in fact, every time my heart misbehaves………….. it’s fascinating. It also tells how much battery-power it has left….. 10 years left on yesterdays reckoning……………….of course I can’t resist telling folk that I saw the doctor yesterday and she’s given me 10 years! A few eyebrows are raised and the comment “really, ten!” is the too often heard reply! Do my friends and relations know something I don’t?

My Cardiologist lives in Norwich, and no, I did not drive there via the south of France, but this is a photo I took on the way back………………

Time now to walk the dogs……………………
