29.11.13. An impatient patient, shooting the breeze and a website to view

This is why I don’t do illness, I’m just not very good at it. I’d rather knit, or walk or sew. On Monday I had a minor op and a day in hospital………….. here’s the vision……………

My pale, frail, but hauntingly beautiful face contrasts, but little, against the crisp white hospital sheets; visitors glance worryingly at the drip sprouting from my arm, flowers have been ordered to cheer me up, meals are being planned to buck my appetite ……………..get the picture?

The flowers haven’t arrived yet, but I’m sure they are on the way – but back to the picture …………. my face flushed and totally distorted by the oxygen mask – lovely stuff that fresh air in a bottle – And the drip? slight problem – it began well – are you left or right handed? – etc. yeah there were problems, but a drip feeding into my left foot just below my little toe evokes more laughter than sympathy; planned meals? Tesco ready meals on standby…………..still , it’s nice to be home and back working in my studio.

Work in progress? a bit experimental perhaps, but it’s fearfully warm…………….. my new felt jacket………….lined in silk with  ‘carried away’  couching………………

It’s been so long since I wrote my blog I half expected I’d have to dust off a few cobwebs before I could ‘sign-in’. The only excuse for my tardiness is that I have been working frantically hard, and……….. and…….deep breath…………drum roll……………a few cheers perhaps?…………… my website is up and running……….. http://www.susancampbelldesigns.co.uk do take a look and tell me what you think.

I’ve decided to do a free craft/knitting pattern every month, and I really will write my blog every week, Sunday being the day of choice…………watch this space!

The winter, and therefore the shoot season is here…………so here are a few snaps to remind you that I really do live in paradise…………and we do have a lot of fun along the way…………….

who let the dogs out?

The ‘boys’, anxiously waiting for the drive to finish so they can ‘pick-up’.

well shot sir

Son Charlie, bagging one for the pot………………..

Moscow and me

Moscow and me

Moscow and me trying not to look cold! The sun was shineing but the wind was cruel………….. note the ear defenders………….who’s a good girl then? Okay so they are round my neck………………..it was very cold that day……………….. forgot my scarf…………

Use a glass, Mark

Well it was a cold day……………………

Bye, bye……….back on Sunday…………and don’t forget the website! x

Website looks super, and my goodness what beautiful models (?family). Love young mister “Union Jack”. Hope your recovery is speedy. Are you really having all that blue sky? it’s been grey skies with lashings of mist here for ages. Looking forward to your posts.
