In France and on the edge of an adventure

So, I am on my way, arriving at St Jean- pied de port just as night was falling, but it was still light enough to see the Pyrenees looming high about the town. No Tea or coffee facilities in the room but a half bottle of Champagne in the mini bar and, as I can’t face the thought of getting dressed and finding a restaurant, I decided that the champers looked terribly nourishing. And will make me sleep well. I intend to explore the town tomorrow and find out in what direction I’ll need to walk in. I was greeted by Madam with a huge bundle of maps, oh dear more stuff to carry, I did hope to just follow any person with a rucksack, even if I did end up in Rome. So some map study is required. I will leave you with this

My first very distant view of the Pyrenees, they got bigger the nearer we got!
